The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) said it is establishing a temporary pathway for radiology practitioner assistants (RPAs) to become credentialed registered radiologist assistants (RRAs).
The eligibility is available to those who hold certification through the Certification Board for Radiology Practitioner Assistants (CBRPA), ARRT said in a statement.
Candidates have until December 31, 2020, to complete the requirements and pass the ARRT exam, and they must fulfill several requirements including being certified as an RPA or having graduated from an RPA educational program.
