The Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) announced a partnership with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) to launch "ACGME Equity Matters."

The initiative introduces a framework for continuous learning and process improvement in diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism practices. It aims to drive change within graduate medical education by increasing physician workforce diversity and building safe, inclusive learning environments while promoting health equity by addressing racial disparities in healthcare and overall population health, according to a council press release.

A total of 42 organizations, including the American College of Radiology, will participate in the inaugural 18-month cohort of learning communities, which will provide tools and skills training to help drive implementation of interventions, practices, policies, and data strategies that support diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism.
