The upcoming RSNA 2018 conference will feature a radiology-themed "escape room," in which participants are locked in a room and can only escape by solving a series of puzzles.
Escape rooms have become commonplace in many cities around the world over the past decade. Participants enter as a group and then must solve a series of challenges in a set period of time to escape. Escape rooms typically have themes such as dungeons, cells, or locked rooms.
The escape room at RSNA 2018 has been organized by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and features a radiology theme. It will be loaded with puzzles and trivia questions related to radiology, with sessions tailored to the training level of participants, either first- to second-year residents or third- to fourth-year residents.
The room will run from Monday, November 26, to Thursday, November 29, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will be located next to the Residents Lounge in the Lakeside Learning Center. Sessions are for one hour and the room will allow a maximum of six participants. Interested groups can sign up here.
