Anthracofibrosis:
- Clinical:
Anthracofibrosis is defined as bronchial stenosis associated with anthracotic pigmentation of the overlying mucosa [1]. The condition occurs commonly in Asian and blacks- especially older women (over the age of 70 years) [1]. Patients present with chronic cough, sputum production, and dyspnea [1].
- X-ray:
The CT findings are bronchostenosis and peribronchial adenopathy [1]. Differential considerations include bronchogenic carcinoma and endobronchial tuberculosis [1].
