Vital Images of Plymouth, MN, and E-Z-EM of Lake Success, NY, have renewed their alliance covering the sale of virtual colonoscopy software.
The companies have been collaborating since 2001 on virtual colonoscopy visualization software based on Vital Images technology that E-Z-EM sells as InnerviewGI. Vital Images sells the same product as an option on its Vitrea 2 software.
Under the terms of the new deal, E-Z-EM will continue to market InnerviewGI to its core customer base, but will refer sales leads to Vital Images rather than sell the product itself. E-Z-EM will continue to host educational seminars on using InnerviewGI for virtual colonoscopy, will share future InnerviewGI development costs, and will receive a royalty from Vital Images on future sales of InnerviewGI.
Vital Images will also rebrand its virtual colonoscopy option as InnerviewGI, according to the companies.
