Health technology company Icometrix has announced the launch of the Lancet Neurology Commission on traumatic brain injury (TBI).
The commission will set clinical and research priorities to address the challenges associated with TBI and reduce the global burden of the condition, Icometrix said. It will use data from the Center-TBI study, which is part of a larger global initiative called the International Initiative for Traumatic Brain Injury Research (InTBIR).
For the study, Icometrix is responsible for all imaging activities, including qualification and standardization of scanners across vendors and platforms at approximately 65 sites, designing MRI protocols at 20 sites, collecting all MRI and CT scan data, and managing imaging quality control, it said.
