Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Aidoc said that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has permitted its algorithms to be used as an adjunctive tool for incidental detection of COVID-19 on CT exams and triaging of these cases for priority review by radiologists.

These would include chest, abdomen, or cervical spine exams, for example, Aidoc said.
