CompuMed trims loss on lower Q2 sales

Bone densitometry provider CompuMed reported second-quarter revenues of $482,000, down 6% from the $511,000 posted in the second quarter of fiscal 2002. For the quarter (end-March 31), the Los Angeles-based company had a net loss of $59,000, a 25% reduction compared with a net loss of $79,000 for the same period last year.

CompuMed reported success in its international marketing efforts. Distributors were added in China and Korea, and the firm expects to add distributors in South America, South Asia, and several countries in the Middle East in the coming quarter.
