Group purchasing organization Joint Purchasing Corporation of New York City has hired Konica Medical Imaging veteran Wayne Thompson as president and CEO, effective June 2. Thompson succeeds chairman and interim CEO Robert Doll, who will continue to serve as JPC’s chairman.
Thompson is the second major executive to leave Konica Medical Imaging in recent months, with James Champagne departing the Wayne, NJ, firm in April. Konica is in the process of merging with Japanese photography company Minolta.
