Canon gets clearance for high-end DR detector

Canon Medical Systems of Irvine, CA, has received FDA clearance for CXDI-40C, a 17 x 17-inch flat-panel digital radiography detector. The detector is designed for most general radiographic applications, and comes in wall stand or table configurations.

CXDI-40C will be Canon’s premium DR system, and was introduced at last month’s Symposium for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) meeting. The system features high detective quantum efficiency (DQE) and a high film speed, equivalent to 400-speed x-ray film, according to the company.
