Alara of Fremont, CA, will showcase its new CRystalView R200 desktop CR system. Small enough for desktop or mobile use, it has a throughput of over 50 plates per hour for 14 x 17-inch images.
The system boasts 12 pixels/mm pixel pitch in high-resolution mode, and 16-bit grayscale resolution. Its features include exam-based imaging protocols, calibrated exposure indicator tracking, an integrated eraser, and image review and processing tools. With its DICOM compatibility, the system can integrate x-ray studies with PACS, teleradiology and image distribution applications, and archive systems.
The CRystalView R200 has clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It will be available in November in the U.S. and worldwide in January 2007 at a list price of $49,000.
