2008 10 20 16 35 59 22 Agfa Xra 2008(Booth 4800) Agfa HealthCare plans to highlight its NX standalone computed radiography (CR) workstation, which can be used for general radiology and mammography (the mammography feature is not yet available in the U.S.).

Agfa also has launched a new software program, Office Viewer, which allows users to access and display exams for patients without leaving the office.

The company also will showcase DX-S, a CR system designed for emergency, trauma, pediatric, neonatal, and general radiography applications. DX-S includes features for reducing radiation dose, which is particularly helpful with pediatric imaging: the system can be packaged with the company's Musica² Platinum Imaging software for pediatrics. DX-S combines Agfa's DirectriX phosphor plates and Scanhead high-resolution scanning technology.

Finally, the Greenville, SC-based firm will display its SE software suite for archiving and distributing CR images. The suite includes three components: SE Server, SE Client, and SE Standalone.
