(Booth 9300) Digital radiography (DR) developer Lodox of Benmore, South Africa, will display a new DR system, as well as upgrades and new features for its Statscan Critical Imaging System, a slot-scanning DR imaging system for emergency medical centers.
Lodox Statscan Mk VE1 is the company's new DR unit; the system is diagnostically equivalent to Statscan but includes a new electrically operated patient gurney. The device has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and should be commercially available in the first quarter of 2009, according to Lodox.
A work-in-progress Automatic Technique Factor Control (ATFC) feature for Statscan varies the x-ray factors used along the length of a full lateral spine scan. ATFC's voltage is continuously variable over a range of 50 kVp to 145 kVp. Lodox expects to market ATFC in the second quarter of next year.
