A decline in U.S. revenue adversely affected first-quarter results for Canadian digital radiography (DR) firm Imaging Dynamics (IDC) (end-March 31).
The Calgary, Alberta-based company reported net revenue of $2.6 million ($2.2 million U.S.) in the first quarter, compared with $6.4 million ($5.5 million U.S.) in the first quarter of 2008. The first-quarter net loss was $1.5 million ($1.3 million U.S.), compared with a net loss of $2.4 million ($2.1 million U.S.) in the same quarter of 2008.
Despite the lower revenue, IDC President and CEO Tom Boon said he was pleased with the company's first-quarter results in the Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions, as IDC focuses on growing its OEM business and aligning with distributors for DR system sales.
