Cook taps McIntosh for medical officer role

Interventional device developer Cook of Bloomington, IL, has hired Dr. Charles McIntosh as chief medical science and technology officer. McIntosh will act as Cook’s external liaison with the FDA and other regulatory bodies, will evaluate emerging medical technologies, and will help develop strategies for clinical testing and product development.

McIntosh has worked for Cook in the past, and has also held positions at the University of Illinois medical center at Urbana-Champaign and at the National Institute of Health’s Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute in Bethesda, MD.
