Interventional firm Guidant has launched its RX AccuNet embolic protection system in Europe following CE Mark approval. Targeted for the treatment of carotid artery disease, RX AccuNet consists of a guidewire with a filter that traps embolic material generated during the stenting procedure, according to Guidant of Indianapolis. The system is designed for use with Guidant's AccuLink carotid stent system.
