Abbott finishes Jomed deal

Abbott Laboratories of Abbott Park, IL, has completed its purchase of Jomed’s coronary and peripheral interventional device product line. Abbott paid about 60 million euros ($69.1 million) for the product lines.

The Jomed products include stents, stent grafts, angioplasty balloon devices, and guiding and diagnostic catheters, and complement Abbott products in the vessel closure, coronary stent, and embolic protection segments. The products will be incorporated into Abbott’s Abbott Vascular Devices business.
