A merger of Amersham Health’s brachytherapy unit with Yokneam, Israel-based cryotherapy developer Galil Medical’s urology operations was completed yesterday. The new U.S.-based company, Oncura, will operate independently of the firms, with Buckinghamshire, U.K.-based Amersham holding a 75% ownership stake and Galil retaining 25%, the companies said.
