RITA slows losses in Q3

Radiation therapy and RF ablation developer RITA Medical Systems of Mountain View, CA, posted fiscal 2003 third-quarter revenues of $3.9 million, down 13% from the $4.5 million posted in the same period in 2002. For the quarter (end-September 30), the company showed a net loss of $2.5 million, compared with a net loss of $2.7 million for the second quarter of 2002.

For the first three quarters of the year, RITA recorded total sales of $12.4 million and a net loss of $8.8 million, compared with total sales of $13.7 million and a net loss of $10.4 million for the same period in 2002.
