Dollens to retire from Guidant helm

Interventional firm Guidant reported that its president and CEO, Ronald Dollens, intends to retire from the company on December 31 of this year. Dollens has been the Indianapolis-based company's CEO since its initial public offering in 1994.

In other management news at the firm, Guido Neels has been named chief operating officer, while group chairman A. Jay Graf is retiring from the company.
