PET manufacturer Positron has sold an mPower PET scanner to the University of Texas - Houston Health Science Center. This is the second PET unit purchased by the facility, according to the Houston-based vendor. The PET system will be installed at the Weatherhead PET Center for Preventing and Reversing Atherosclerosis, located in Memorial Hermann Hospital, and will be used primarily for PET scanning for heart disease.
