Wisconsin Medical Cyclotron opens new facility

Wisconsin Medical Cyclotron has opened a medical cyclotron facility in Milwaukee. The site, which utilizes the PETtrace cyclotron from GE Healthcare of Waukesha, WI, will provide distribution of fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) to PET scanner operators in southeast Wisconsin, according to the Milwaukee-based firm.

Currently, there are 12 PET scanners in Wisconsin, the company said. Wisconsin Medical Cyclotron has signed on with Cardinal Health of Cleveland for marketing and distribution of its products in southeast Wisconsin.
