Gamma probe developer Gamma Medica of Northridge, CA, will showcase its X-O micro CT system at the RSNA meeting. The product can acquire whole-body images in less than a minute, and is designed for in vivo preclinical small-animal imaging.
The product features the company's LoTox technology, which allows a dose of less than 2 cGy in a 60-second scan, and is capable of a field-of-view of nearly 1,000 cubic cm, according to Gamma Medica. The device is targeted toward universities, research hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies that do preclinical imaging, and will be available worldwide this December, the company said.
