NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes has completed a cleanroom facility at its campus in Beloit, WI, to support batch production of radiopharmaceuticals for research and treatment.
The suite features specialized enclosures designed for safe and aseptic (contamination-free) preparation of sterile radioactive drug products, a work area within the cleanroom where operators can stage materials or weigh, adjust, and dissolve components used in the process, and a controlled entry.

The suite will support both current clinical trials and full-scale radiopharmaceutical manufacturing that will commence in July when its new 52,000-sq-ft facility opens, the company said.
