Shine and Sumitomo set sights on Asian markets

Shine Technologies and Sumitomo Corporation of Americas have entered an agreement focused on establishing reliable supply chains for medical isotopes throughout Japan and other Asian markets.

This collaboration will focus on establishing supplies of isotopes used in cancer treatment, such as lutetium-177 and molybdenum-99, which Shine produces at its facility in Janesville, WI. The agreement also lays the groundwork for studying logistics and legal requirements for transporting radioisotopes and related materials between the U.S. and Asian territories, Shine said.

Sumitomo is a global trading and investment company. If market studies prove successful, Sumitomo will serve as Shine’s sales agent in the defined territories, Shine added.
