Alliance Medical has formed a joint venture with M2i of Dublin to establish radiopharmaceutical production facilities in the U.K. The new company will go by the name Molecular Imaging Services (MIS), according to Oxfordshire, U.K.-based Alliance Medical.
MIS will provide U.K. hospital-based PET facilities and mobile PET scanners with radiopharmaceuticals, with a strong focus on fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG), according to the company. Alliance said MIS is exploring a series of collaborative research opportunities with NHS Trusts, universities, and commercial partners. The location for its first production facility will be announced within a few weeks.
