Solid-state gamma camera developer Digirad said it booked third-quarter revenue of $14 million, up 27.3% compared with the $11 million turned in during the third quarter of 2002. For the period (end-September 30), the San Diego-based vendor said it also achieved its first profitable quarter since it began generating revenue in 1998.
The privately held firm did not release specific profitability figures for the quarter, but attributed the upturn to new product designs that yielded improved cost savings and reliability.
