PET development firm CTI Molecular Imaging has introduced its Reveal Hi REZ, a detector that improves the 3-D resolution of its system, according to the Knoxville, TN-based company.
CTI said the detector technology, which improve resolution three over existing systems, is made possible by the high light output and fast scintillation light response time of the developer’s lutetium oxyorthosilicate (LSO) crystals.
The Reveal Hi REZ product results in a 3-D sensitivity five times higher than non-enhanced systems, a volumetric image resolution three times greater, and a throughput improvement by a factor of 2, CTI said.
