Radioisotope manufacturer International Isotopes of Idaho Falls, ID, reported sales of $743,325, more than doubling the revenue of $359,601 posted in the comparable quarter one year ago.
For the period (end-March 31), the loss from continuing operations was $161,487, a 32% performance improvement compared with the loss of $240,264 for the same period in 2003.
According to the firm, the increase in revenue was largely attributable to a single cobalt sale made during the period and which had been delayed from the fourth quarter of 2003. The company said it continues to see strong growth in the sales of its other products, and that it expects that sales of its Iodine-131 radiochemical, which began in March, are expected to be a significant contributor to revenue for the remainder of the year.
