Palatin Technologies said it has reached agreement with the FDA on the name of its infection imaging agent, now to be called NeutroSpec.

Palatin had previously called the agent LeuTech, but the FDA's division of medication errors and technical support had requested the name change to prevent potential name confusion and reduce the chance of a medication error, according to the Cranbury, NJ-based firm.
