Nuclear medicine vendor Digirad has debuted Cardius-1M, a mobile, solid-state nuclear gamma camera designed for cardiac imaging applications. The mobile nature of Cardius-1M allows physicians to move the imager to different office locations, and permits the delivery of cardiac imaging procedures in both the physician office and hospital setting, according to the San Diego-based vendor.
The system consists of a solid-state nuclear gamma camera, an upright imaging chair, an acquisition/processing station, and the firm's third-generation Solidium solid-state detector. Cardius-1M can also be upgraded to Digirad's Cardius-2 stationary, dual-head system, according to the firm.
