MDS, the Toronto-based parent company of radioisotope developer MDS Nordion, has sold its laboratory services business, MDS Diagnostic Services.
MDS sold the business to Borealis Infrastructure Management for $1.325 billion Canadian ($1.176 billion U.S.). MDS said the sale is part of its strategy to focus on the life sciences market by growing its MDS Sciex, MDS Nordion, and MDS Pharma Services businesses.
