Medical isotope developer IsoRay reported that the Chicago Prostate Cancer Center (CPCC) of Westmont, IL, reached a milestone in prostate brachytherapy earlier this month by becoming the first cancer center to treat 100 patients using the company's cesium-131 seeds.
CPCC has performed more than 8,000 brachytherapy procedures over the past nine years, according to Richland, WA-based IsoRay.
