Canadian radiopharmaceutical developer Draxis Health of Mississauga, Ontario, has appointed Dan Brazier as its new president and CEO, and named Jean-Pierre Robert to the position of chief operating officer (COO).
Robert retains his post as president of Draxis Specialty Pharmaceuticals, the company's wholly owned operating subsidiary.
The appointments come after Dr. Martin Barkin retired as president and CEO of Draxis Health, effective December 31, 2007.
Brazier joined Draxis in 1998 and became COO in October 2005. He has served in the office of the president with Barkin since July 2007.
Robert joined Draxis in April 2005 as president of the radiopharmaceuticals business unit in Montreal. In July 2007, he assumed the role of president of Draxis Specialty Pharmaceuticals. Before joining Draxis, Robert spent several years with Tyco Healthcare in Canada, now Covidien of Hazelwood, MO.
