The North American nuclear medicine market earned revenues of $298.4 million in 2007, according to a new market research report by Frost & Sullivan of San Antonio.
Sales were driven by the adoption of SPECT/CT, which is fast becoming a must-have technology, according to the report. On the other hand, adoption could be slowed due to reimbursement reductions, tight end-user capital budgets, narrow physician referral bases, and low levels of physician education.
The report predicts that the North American nuclear medicine market will produce revenues of $325.3 million by 2014.
