FDA clears software for liver, gallbladder diagnosis

A software package designed to assist with the clinical diagnosis of liver and gallbladder diseases has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The software, available through L&G Medical Software of Hillsboro, OR, is designed to provide access to universal standardized imaging of liver and gallbladder functions to nuclear medicine departments worldwide. It was developed by nuclear medicine specialists Dr. Gerbail Krishnamurthy and Dr. Shakuntala Krishnamurthy of Tuality Community Hospital, also of Hillsboro.
