MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas has named Dr. David Piwnica-Worms, PhD, as chair of the department of cancer systems imaging.
Piwnica-Worms will also become deputy division head of research affairs for MD Anderson's Division of Diagnostic Imaging as of June 1.
He is currently director of the Washington University Molecular Imaging Center and its BRIGHT Institute in St. Louis.
MD Anderson's department of cancer imaging systems was recently renamed from the experimental diagnostic imaging department, according to the center.
