Molecular imaging technology developer Spectrum Dynamics Medical has released new software for its SPECT scanners and D-SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging systems for mitigating attenuation artifacts and scatter and improving quantification accuracy.
The company's Emission Map Attenuation Correction (EMAC) software uses patient-specific SPECT data to create emission map models; it then matches this reconstructed data with these maps for attenuation correction, according to the firm.
