Medical imaging software developer Cedara Software has introduced Vivace, a suite of 3-D software plug-in components designed to aid in evaluation of CT and MR images. Equipment manufacturers can plug the new software into imaging workstations already installed or into new imaging devices, according to the Mississauga, Ontario-based vendor.
The PC-based software suite offers four rendering modes: maximum intensity projection (MIP), minimum intensity projection (minIP), shaded and unshaded volume, and multi-planar reformatting (MPR), Cedara said. Cedara's Point and Click classification tool is also included to provide rapid classification of anatomical structures, according to the vendor.
