MRI vendor Fonar reported fiscal second-quarter revenues of $17.9 million, up 12.1% compared with the $16 million booked in the second quarter of fiscal 2003.
For the period (end-December 31), the Melville, NY-based firm had a net loss of $2.6 million, compared with a net loss of $2.9 million ($2.8 million from continuing operations) a year ago.
Fonar said that equipment sales from unrelated parties hit $8.6 million in the second quarter, up 45% compared with the $5.9 million reported in same period last year. Overall, medical equipment revenues reached $12 million, up 17.9% compared with the $10.2 million reported in the second quarter of fiscal 2003.
