Extremity MRI developer ONI Medical Systems of Wilmington, MA, announced that it has made the first European installation of OrthOne, the vendor's 1-tesla extremity MRI system. The unit was installed at a facility in Oslo, Norway.
The installation takes the total number of systems installed worldwide in hospitals, orthopedic practices, imaging centers, and sports injury clinics to more than 50 units, according to ONI.
ONI recently signed distribution agreements with U.K.-based Xograph Imaging Systems and Medirad Scandinavia for Northern Europe. The company launched OrthOne in 2002.
