MRI developer Fonar said its revenues for the first quarter of fiscal 2005 (end-September 30) increased to $25.1 million from $13.4 million in the same quarter last year.
Net income for the Melville, NY, company for the quarter was $786,000, compared to a net loss of $3.8 million for the same period last year. The company attributed the growth primarily to a 190% increase in sales of Fonar's Upright MRI scanner.
