Interventional device developer Medrad, of Indianola, PA, will introduce its Spectris Solaris EP MR Injection System at the RSNA show.
Spectris Solaris EP is an extension of the Spectris Solaris product family, but with increased battery capacity and a design that allows it to operate with 3-tesla and open MRI scanners. A continuous AC battery charger is an option. Spectris Solaris EP's fewer battery charges will enable greater patient throughput, Medrad said.
FDA clearance is pending, and the product is expected to be available worldwide by the end of the first quarter 2005.
