Tyco/Mallinckrodt, IRadimed ink distribution deal

Tyco Healthcare/Mallinckrodt of St. Louis and IRadimed of Winter Park, FL, have signed an exclusive North American distribution deal.

Under terms of the agreement, Mallinckrodt will distribute IRadimed's MRidium MR IV pump. The device is a nonmagnetic infusion pump that has received clearance from Siemens Medical Solutions and Philips Medical Systems for use with the firms' 1- to 3-tesla magnets, according to Mallinckrodt.
