Fonar sells second Upright MRI to CDI

The Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) in Minneapolis has purchased a second Upright Multi-Position MRI scanner from Melville, NY-based Fonar.

The transaction is CDI's second purchase of an Upright MRI. The first installation was completed at a CDI Minneapolis outpatient center in St. Louis Park, MN, in June 2007.

The sale was placed jointly with GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., and done in partnership with the Northwestern College of Chiropractic at Northwest Health Science University.

CDI currently owns and operates 42 imaging centers in eight states.
