(Booth 5529) GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., plans to highlight its range of technology for breast MRI, as well as ultrasound applications for women's health.
GE's breast MRI technology includes Vibrant, which allows users to image both breasts simultaneously; Brease, a breast spectroscopy application that improves the ability to characterize breast lesions by displaying choline concentrations; and an eight-channel breast array coil that integrates the CADstream computer-aided detection (CAD) software for breast MRI from Confirma of Bellevue, WA.
Also on display will be GE's Voluson E8 ultrasound scanner for women's health, which includes SonoAVC, or sonography-based automated volume count, which calculates the number and volume of hypoechoic structures in a volume sweep, and SonoVCAD, or sonography-based volume computer-aided diagnosis, which standardizes image orientation of the fetal heart.
Finally, GE will display its Senographe DS and Senographe Essential full-field digital mammography systems in its booth at the RSNA show. Senographe DS integrates screening, diagnosis, and interventional capabilities in the same system. Senographe Essential features a 24 x 31-cm detector size.
