Breast MRI technology developer Aurora Imaging Technology said that its dedicated breast MRI system was used exclusively in a large clinical study that recommended the use of breast MRI for preoperative evaluation of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
The research also found no delay in treatment from the preoperative breast MRI, according to Aurora of North Andover, MA. The study, cosponsored by Mercy Health Center and Breast MRI of Oklahoma, included 603 patients and was published in the American Journal of Surgery.
