NeuroGrafix presses MRI patent suits

MR technology developer NeuroGrafix said it is continuing to pursue patent infringement litigation for MRI technology against the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Also targeted are Philips Healthcare, Brainlab, and certain users of Philips and Brainlab equipment who are performing MR neurography, diffusion-tensor imaging, or diffusion subtraction neurography, which NeuroGrafix claims is protected by its U.S. Patent No. 5,560,360.

In other updates, the company dismissed patent infringement litigation against Medtronic Navigation and Medtronic this month, following the signing of a settlement agreement. The company has also dismissed suits against Cornell University, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, as well as litigation against the University of California and GE Healthcare after settlement deals.
