Radiation oncology vendor Elekta and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City have entered into a research agreement that allows the center to use the company's MR-guided radiation therapy technology for cancer care.
The center will explore new imaging protocols as well as treatment standards and planning methodologies using Elekta's MR-linac, which can visualize tumors and target them with radiation therapy in real-time, according to the company.
