Quantitative MRI technology developer CaliberMRI has unveiled a new feature that enables calibration of room-temperature MRI data. The company is showcasing the technology at this week's International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) meeting in London, England.
CaliberMRI is providing this capability via an integrated quality control (QC) platform comprising its QIBA diffusion phantom, MR-readable thermometry, qCal-MR software, and reference data from the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
The platform generates automated corrections to apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) over a wide range of temperatures, avoiding the need to calibrate the QIBA phantom in an ice bath overnight to generate measurements at 0⁰ C, according to the vendor.
